Moody Shots

Here are a couple of the shots I took with a black and white film - I'm learning through experience that lack of light = shutter open longer = wobble...

These two shots were taken in and around Holland Park, Kensington.

Ventures into the realm of SLR

I spent last weekend in Devon, armed with a Canon E0S 300 SLR (film - that's a blast from the past) on loan from a very trusting friend. Lens was a 28-105mm with a 58mm Hoya Skylight filter. I had a lot of fun with the autofocus facility and this experiment has resulted in a back catalogue of 'arty' seaside shots.

Used 400 ISO film which in retrospect may not have been the correct one but - these are the outcomes and I'm pleased with them!

My grasp of light is a little amateur at the moment, but the camera picks up colour extremely well, so I got some pretty good shots, I think, for a first trial with SLR.
